Learn to install, configure, and manage a highly available environment comprised of XenApp and XenDesktop controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Receiver, Director, and Profile management. CTX-CXD-300.1 – Deploying App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.5

This course provides students with the skills required to successfully deploy a complete Citrix hosted application and desktop virtualization solution in a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment.

Throughout this course, students will learn how to configure an environment that includes the following Citrix components: XenServer, XenDesktop, Citrix License Server, MCS, PVS, Personal vDisk, StoreFront, NetScaler (ICA Proxy, Load Balancing, Endpoint Analysis), and Citrix Receiver. Upon course completion, students will be able to build a XenDesktop 7.5 environment from scratch and test the implementation to ensure that all components work as expected and that both internal and external end users can access XenDesktop resources successfully.

CTX-CXD-304 – Citrix Provisioning Services 7.1x Administration

Improve your XenApp and XenDesktop image management and performance with Provisioning Services. Learn to install and configure a highly available Provisioning Services farm according to leading practices. In this course, you will learn about the architecture, communication, and processes that make up Provisioning Services to be successful with deploying and managing a farm. Manage and integrate vDisks and target devices with XenApp and XenDesktop for easy rollback, upgrades, and performance of Virtual Delivery Agent machines. At the end of this course you will be able to install, configure and manage the Provisioning Services solution.

CTX-CXD-203 – Managing App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenDesktop 7.6

Unitek Training€™s Managing Citrix XenDesktop 7 Solutions course provides students with the skills required to effectively support a Citrix app and desktop virtualization solution in a Windows Server 2012 environment. This course is based on final product code and is currently available through select Citrix Authorized Learning Centers (CALCs).

Please note: The Early Release course is available through August 16, 2013, via select CALCs, to enable organizations before Citrix XenDesktop 7 is in market. Beginning August 19, 2013, all Early Release courses will be converted to the subsequent version of this course, based on the final product code. Upon completion of this course, students will learn how to successfully manage, monitor, support and troubleshoot a XenDesktop 7 solution, which includes growing the implementation to accommodate changes in the environment (adding new apps, new users, new desktops,) and troubleshooting common issues.

Upon course completion, students will be able to build a XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6 environment from scratch, test the implementation to ensure that all components work as expected, and successfully manage, monitor, and troubleshoot a XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6 solution.

CTX-CXD-302 – Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Advanced Concepts – Troubleshooting

In this course students learn how to troubleshoot complex end user and infrastructure issues through the use of support tools, Insight Services, and the PowerShell SDK. The course follows a troubleshooting methodology using real world support issues as example scenarios to demonstrate how to identify and remediate issues with the proper tools. At the end of the course students will have the skills they need to diagnose and remediate failures with a faster time to resolution and to identify the root cause to prevent future occurrences.

This course was created in conjunction with Citrix Support and Citrix Consulting to identify the top support issues and incorporate them into the hands on lab exercises. All lab exercises in this course are based on real issues. This course has intensive lab exercises using the same tools that Citrix Support uses on support cases.
