CTX-CXD-302 – Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Advanced Concepts – Troubleshooting

In this course students learn how to troubleshoot complex end user and infrastructure issues through the use of support tools, Insight Services, and the PowerShell SDK. The course follows a troubleshooting methodology using real world support issues as example scenarios to demonstrate how to identify and remediate issues with the proper tools. At the end of the course students will have the skills they need to diagnose and remediate failures with a faster time to resolution and to identify the root cause to prevent future occurrences.

This course was created in conjunction with Citrix Support and Citrix Consulting to identify the top support issues and incorporate them into the hands on lab exercises. All lab exercises in this course are based on real issues. This course has intensive lab exercises using the same tools that Citrix Support uses on support cases.

CTX-CXD-105 – Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Help Desk Support

The Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Help Desk Support course provides help desk representatives with the skills required to effectively troubleshoot and resolve user issues faster, prevent issues from reoccurring and use the proper consoles during troubleshooting to quickly determine the root cause of user issues within a XenApp or XenDesktop 7.x environment.

Students will leave class with the ability to troubleshoot user issues, including interpreting user needs, asking the proper questions to resolve common issues, and applying documentation practices when troubleshooting to ensure a smooth transition when escalation is necessary.

CTX-CXD-303 – Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.1x Optimization and Troubleshooting

Get more value out of your XenApp and XenDesktop investment through the use of Workspace Environment Management, Application Layering, advanced features, and troubleshooting tools. You’ll leave this course with a good understanding of how to manage more complex solutions such as multi-zone environments spanning multiple locations with configurations around StoreFront, the Delivery Controllers, and HDX. You’ll gain the skills to improve logon times, user personalization, and resource performance through Workspace Environment Management. Also, learn to optimize management of your app and desktop images by building and combining App Layers.

CTX-CXA-206 – Citrix XenApp 6.5 Administration

Citrix XenApp 6.5 Basic Administration training course provides the foundation necessary for administrators to effectively centralize and manage applications in the datacenter and instantly deliver them as a service to users anywhere. Learners will receive training for installing and configuring Citrix XenApp 6.5 for Windows Server 2008 R2, Citrix Receiver and plug-ins, as well as for using administrative consoles and tools to configure resources, policies, server and farm settings, printers, virtualized applications and more.

CTX-CXD-301 – Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Advanced Concepts – Optimizing the End User Experience

In this course students will learn how to optimize an environment to deliver a great user experience. Starting with the user device and Citrix Receiver, the course covers advanced deployment and configuration options to optimize the delivery of their apps and desktops. Students continue with enhancing the StoreFront experience through custom branding and advanced customization options. Finally, course attendees will learn how to optimize the VDA for a better experience including faster logons, HDX graphics tuning, multimedia, and additional configurations for double hop HDX connections.

Although many options exists for deploying and configuring a XenApp and XenDesktop solution, this course focuses on the aspects of the solution that impact the user workflow and user experience. The recommended configurations taught in this course are based on real world experience of Citrix Consulting architects and consultants working with customers worldwide to streamline the user experience and optimize for complex scenarios.
