CTX-CVA-500-2I – Architecting a Citrix Virtualization Solution

The Architecting a Citrix Virtualization Solution course teaches Citrix architects how to analyze and design a comprehensive Citrix virtualization solution. Based on the Citrix Consulting Services Methodology, the course will provide students with the key considerations for managing the project, assessing environment readiness and risks and designing the appropriate solution according to Citrix best practices.

Students will gain real-world insight from the field and practice assessment and design exercises based on challenging, enterprise-level scenarios

CTX-CVE-401I – Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution

The CVE-401I Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution course teaches Citrix engineers how to plan for and perform the tasks necessary to successfully integrate the component technologies that make up a Citrix virtualization solution in a Windows Server 2008 environment.

Upon course completion, students will be able to interpret environmental data and integrate key Citrix virtualization technologies, including XenApp, XenServer, and XenDesktop, to create a holistic, end-to-end virtualization solution that will address the most pressing business issues of the day. The extensive, highly hands-on curriculum includes exercises that allow students to demonstrate the advanced technical knowledge gained from instruction.

This course prepares learners for exam A15, the requirement for the CCEE for Virtualization.

CTX-CXD-302 – Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Advanced Concepts – Troubleshooting

In this course students learn how to troubleshoot complex end user and infrastructure issues through the use of support tools, Insight Services, and the PowerShell SDK. The course follows a troubleshooting methodology using real world support issues as example scenarios to demonstrate how to identify and remediate issues with the proper tools. At the end of the course students will have the skills they need to diagnose and remediate failures with a faster time to resolution and to identify the root cause to prevent future occurrences.

This course was created in conjunction with Citrix Support and Citrix Consulting to identify the top support issues and incorporate them into the hands on lab exercises. All lab exercises in this course are based on real issues. This course has intensive lab exercises using the same tools that Citrix Support uses on support cases.

CTX-CXD-301 – Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Advanced Concepts – Optimizing the End User Experience

In this course students will learn how to optimize an environment to deliver a great user experience. Starting with the user device and Citrix Receiver, the course covers advanced deployment and configuration options to optimize the delivery of their apps and desktops. Students continue with enhancing the StoreFront experience through custom branding and advanced customization options. Finally, course attendees will learn how to optimize the VDA for a better experience including faster logons, HDX graphics tuning, multimedia, and additional configurations for double hop HDX connections.

Although many options exists for deploying and configuring a XenApp and XenDesktop solution, this course focuses on the aspects of the solution that impact the user workflow and user experience. The recommended configurations taught in this course are based on real world experience of Citrix Consulting architects and consultants working with customers worldwide to streamline the user experience and optimize for complex scenarios.
